Since Staci spent a term taking pictures of the area around the Dorris Ranch I thought I would do a little write-up of the area and post a gallery of her pictures. I think they are good and need to be used for something.
Established in 1892 as a hazelnut farm, it is Oregon’s oldest working hazelnut orchard. This 250 acre ranch is listed in the National registrar of historic places. There are multiple trails through the property that cross over to the Willamette River and connect to the path system along it. Historic buildings and equipment are along the trails. The spring is one of the best times to visit the area if you are interested in seeing native wildflowers blooming.
